The House of Dana was founded in Barcelona, Spain by Javier Sierra. Tabu was launched as his first fragrance. The name “Dana” was chosen for its myriad historical and mythological associations. Today, Dana Classic Fragrances markets classic fragrances. The company was launched in 1999, after buying the cologne and perfume brands portfolio from bankrupt Renaissance Cosmetics.

Located in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Dana Classic Fragrances also makes and markets artificial nails, cosmetics, and other personal care products. The company is owned by Dimeling, Schreiber and Park investment group.
